Eagle Scout Christopher C. Bangs

Chris passed his Eagle Board of Review on Monday, October 11th, 2004, becoming Troop 111’s 91st Eagle Scout. Chris’s Honor Roll:

Chris is currently a Senior at Washington-Lee High School. He made the fall Honor Roll and has a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.4.

He has played soccer, basketball and baseball and was an All-Star in all three sports as a youth. At Washington-Lee High School he is currently on the Varsity basketball and baseball teams. He was a starter on Arlington Post 139’s American Legion baseball team during the summer of 2004, and was also a starter on the Arlington Babe Ruth Senior All-Star team during the summer of 2004.

Employment
He was employed this summer as a Lifeguard at Upton Hill Regional Park.

Eagle Project
For his Eagle project Chris widened, relined, and re-mulched the existing portion of the Red Trail at Upton Hill Regional Park and trenched, lined, and mulched a new section of the Red Trail. He repainted trail markers on trees for the other trails in the Park and placed numbers on all the signposts in the Park for easy reference. He reposted signposts that had been vandalized and put new signs on other signposts. The project consisted of 175 hours of work.

Chris follows in the footsteps of his older brother Richard, Troop 111 Eagle Scout #76 (5/6/01). Richard and Chris are the 18th set of Eagle brothers in Troop history.
