Eagle Scout Michael E. Ciampa

Michael passed his Eagle Board of Review on December 5, 2006, becoming Troop 111’s 105th Eagle Scout. His Honor Roll:

Eagle Project:
Mike planted 61 trees in association with Fairfax Re-Leaf at the King Street East cloverleaf off I-395 South, involving digging both large
planting holes and lengthy expansion trenches in severe hardpan (needed to permit the trees to survive in very challenging soil). Trash was
also collected and removed from the site. Approximately 194 Man-Hours of work. Additional soil from Jim Shirey’s Eagle Project was later
placed on the trees, adding about another 25 or so Man-Hours of work.

Michael is interested in attending Virginia Tech to major in Mechanical Engineering. He is also looking at Christopher Newport, James Madison,
and Radford.
